Baptisms

The rite of baptism is practiced in many different ways by different religious traditions.  Some involve sprinkling, others involve full immersion.  Some require the person being baptized to be an adult, or at least old enough to understand the nature of the experience and what it means.  Other traditions baptize infants as part of their dedication.  ULC ministers are authorized by the church to perform any baptism ritual which is peaceful and safe, however it is beyond the scope of this document to address all of the different ways in which this can be done.  The ministry offers baptism certificates which are filled in with the date and name of the person baptized and the minister’s signature.
